From years of marriage counseling
In my years of marital counseling, I have discovered several reoccurring issues in most of the marriages I’ve dealt with. The first is lack of knowledge. It isn’t that couples can’t have a good marriage so much as they don’t know how to have a good marriage. The second is a lack of character to implement the knowledge they do possess. And the third is unhealed emotional wounds carried over from some former relationship, childhood, or traumatic situation.
I wrote the Way of the Cross Workbooks as an aid to overcoming all of these issues. While I can’t be there every step of the way as a couple attempts to heal and repair their marriage, these workbooks can. It is one thing to tell a couple to become better communicators and another to step them through all the things that can be done to actually help them become better communicators. These workbooks allow for that.
They are full of exercises that couples do together to build good relationship skills. They will push every fear button a couple has and then walk them through the healing process to overcome those fears. Wounds will be healed as they are work these exercises together. It takes all the guess work out of what to do next. Just follow the steps presented in the each workbook to further your marriage skills and knowledge!
IMPORTANT: These workbooks are not meant to be done outside the guidance of a pastor or Biblical marriage counselor. A struggling couple will still need the wisdom and insight of a third perspective. But these workbooks will go a long way in helping both the married couple and the counselor to achieving the ends they so desire.
